Trigger Point Massage

Trigger Point Massage can sound a little scary, but let me assure you.Trigger Point Massage uses specific techniques to find and defuse trigger points in muscles.

A trigger point massage looks for the tightest, most spastic section of muscle and uses pressure, rubbing, stretching or heat to release them.

Trigger point methods are used on a lot of deep tissue and sports massages. If you have a big trigger point that always seems to be pinging, such as a knot right at the junction of the neck and shoulder blade, I might use four or five different techniques at various times during the massage to make that trigger point history.

Q: What if I don't know what massage to pick? Or I pick the wrong one for me?

A: Hey, nothing is set in stone. You don't have to be the expert. Just tell me what your goal is, whether it is to relax, get rid of pain, knock points off the golf score, whatever, and I'll do the rest. And if you decide if trigger point is really not for you, just say so and we can try a different style. Lots of times I'm working with people who are tight from working on a computer all day, so I blend some or all of these styles in different ways to achieve the goal.
