“Old faithful” should be in a national park, not your shoulder! Trigger points are spots of discomfort, spasm or downright pain that occur after an injury or stress that just seem to keep coming back. In the old-timey days, people wanted super-deep pressure to to murder theses points.
Intensive, focused pressure is just one way to treat trigger points, and that style does not ensure the points won’t return. Several other modalities can erase these pesky points and can keep them from returning.
As always, the suspected causes of the trigger points must be treated. Expect Sue to ask you to make some changes to keep these guys away. It might be a new keyboard, or a new way of watching TV, or another solution. You don’t have to live in an endless cycle of active and sleeper trigger points!
